Generally, a pacer is an experienced runner that runs at a set speed in a race, typically a long-distance event. This helps you finish at your desired time.
Charlotte Racefest is proud to work with Charlotte Running Club, RunCLTRun and the Charlotte running community to provide pacers in both the 10K and Half Marathon race distances.
Please visit the Charlotte Running Club tent pre-race in order to meet the pacers. They will be at the tent up to 30 minutes prior to the race start. The pacers will line up at the start line based on their specific goal finish time in order to help all participants line up properly (faster runners to the front, walkers, strollers and leashed pets to the rear).
