Can I register on race day?
Yes, race day registration is available if participant cap has not been met.
Can I pick up my friend's packet early and/or race day?
Yes, you can pick up friends, family and coworkers' packets. If you pick up before race morning, make sure you bring them race morning! Nothing worse than forgetting your bib! It is highly recommended to attend early packet pick up (at Dick's Sporting Goods) prior to race day. Race day packet pickup will be a short walk to the start/finish line, so come early to make the race start time!
Can I pick up my team's packet?
Teams of 10 or more members can request their packets be pulled and available for one team member to pick up for the entire team. This request must be made at least 10 days before race day.
Will there be pacers?
Charlotte Racefest is proud to work with Charlotte Running Club, RunCLTRun and the Charlotte running community to provide pacers in both the 10K and Half Marathon race distances. Generally, a pacer is an experienced runner that runs at a set speed in a race, typically a long-distance event. This helps you finish at your desired time.
Please visit the Charlotte Running Club tent pre-race in order to meet the pacers. They will be at the tent up to 30 minutes prior to the race start. The pacers will line up at the start line based on their specific goal finish time in order to help all participants line up properly (faster runners to the front, walkers, strollers and leashed pets to the rear).
Half Marathon pacer times: 1:30, 1:45, 2:00, 2:15, 2:30, 2:45, Sweeper (last runner on course) 3:00
10K pacer times: 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75
What can I expect on race day?
Please allow ample time to pick up packets, get your wristband (21 & up only), and be in line within 5 minutes of national anthem and start. Spectators are welcome along the course and finish, so cheer in your favorite runner!
Can I walk the event?
We love our walkers. We ask walkers to be aware that course time limits are race specific. You must complete the race (half or 10K) in 3 hours (13:45/mile) as to reopen the course as mandated by the City of Charlotte. If you fall below this pace, we can unfortunately no longer guarantee course support—which is paramount for your safety. Aid stations, medical support, portable toilets, and road closures will start to become unavailable to participants. The local police and race organizers will ask you to reroute to a shorter version of the course or move up onto the sidewalk where you will be required to obey regular traffic laws.
Can I track a participant?
Yes, the tracking link will be available under the Participant Tracking tab as we get closer to race day.
Where are the aid stations?
